the light enters form the sun which consist of VIBGYOR,But since Blue is more dominant to our eye,the sky is blue

upper one is not the complete one. Out of VIBGYOR , each colour suffers RAYLAIGH SCATTERING which is inversely propertional to the 4th power of wavelength. violet & indigo are even more scattered than blue but our eye is most sensitive towards blue among these

 violet,indigo,blue have least wavelength among visible rays, so they scatter the most, due to which the sky appears bluish
