Established in the year 2001 as a 48th University in India, Vinayaka Mission's University was given the deemed university status by Ministry of Human Resources Development, Government of India with the recommendations of UGC as an acknowledgement of excellence and satisfaction for the highest levels of academic standards and state of the art infrastructure facilities.

Students having bachelors degree of any recognized university with mathematics or statistics as either the main or allied subject at the degree level or mathematics as one of the subjects in higher secondary level. Candidates appearing for final examination can also apply. The candidates are selected on the merit basis as per the marks secured in the entrance examination conducted on All India Basis.
