you can take here two view

first for equations
domain = input = independent
range = output = dependent

e.g.

y=4x+5

domain = x = 1 2 3
range = y = 9 13 17


for conceptual problem
domain is first destination you can reach and range is the second destination or u can say your desired position.

for example if u want to come to delhi u should come in india
domain = india
range = delhi
